		abstract={Attendance is something that must be done in teaching and learning activities at the Bengkalis State Polytechnic, the attendance used today is still manual, therefore a research is conducted on an attendance system using a QR code that makes it easier to perform attendance using a personal mobile device by using the research method, namely the method Geofencing, this geofencing method is a method for delimiting an area and this development is also carried out with the RUP (Rational Unified Process) development method. The results of this study are in the form of attendance applications for Bengkalis State Polytechnic students, especially the D4 study program - mobile-based software engineering, and also web-based applications for lecturers and department staff.}
