Granules in sand, generally measuring between 0.0625 mm to 2 mm. The material of sand formation is silicon dioxide. Sand has color according to the origin of its formation. And we know that sand is also very important for building materials when mixed with cement adhesive. The drying oven is for drying various food products or other products. This drying oven is usually used for drying the product usually as a substitute for the sun. Products that can be dried are crackers, fish, bananas, snacks, and herbal foods. In writing this thesis, the object of research is the analysis of the effect of variations in sand grain size on the effectiveness of heat storage in drying ovens, and from the results of testing the effect of sand grain size on the effectiveness of heat storage in the drying oven with a diameter of sand affects the drying process, so the sand is 100 in diameter mesh has a better heat transfer rate compared to sand with a diameter of 50 mesh. The longest heat storage time in a drying oven is using 100 mesh sand with a time to 85 minutes of reduction to the initial temperature. Whereas, the fastest heat storage time is on 50 mesh sand with a time of decline to the initial temperature for 55 minutes.} }
