		abstract={Financial distress is a condition of financial difficulties in a company which can be an indication of a company experiencing bankruptcy. This research was conducted to analyze how the influence of Good Corporate Governance and Financial Ratios has on the occurrence of Financial Distress in banking sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2019-2021 period. This study used purposive sampling to determine the sample. Where the number of samples used were 42 companies. Research data were analyzed using the SPSS test tool through linear regression analysis. The results of the study can be concluded that Good Corporate Governance which is measured based on Institutional Ownership, Managerial Ownership, Board of Directors, Board of Commissioners, and Independent Commissioners has no effect on the occurrence of financial distress. While the Financial Ratios as measured through the Liquidity Ratio and Profitability Ratio affect the occurrence of financial distress.}
