The population used was all ship safety inspectors at Tanjung Emas Class I KSOP of 33 (thirty three) people. The number of samples is 33 (thirty three) people, so this research is a census research. Data collection methods used are questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression analysis, while the intervening test was performed using the Sobel test. The results of the study concluded that the performance allowance for ship safety inspectors did not have a positive effect on the motivation of shipsafety inspectors, while organizational commitment had a positive effect on motivation in KSOP Class I Tanjung Emas, as well as motivation had a positive effect on ship safety inspectors performance allowances and organizational commitment did not have a positive effect on performance of ships safety inspectors in KSOP Class I Tanjung Emas. The results of the intervening test concluded that performance allowances and organizational commitment did not have a positive effect on the performance of ship safety inspectors in KSOP Calss I Tanjung Emas with motivation as the intervening variable.} }
