One way to overcome these difficilties is to find a lecture or supervisor who is in accordance with his field of expertise. To provice convenience, it?s necessary to strive for an accurate search model. Vector Space Model (VSM) is one of the models used in the search process by measuring the proximity between a document and a query. Document is seen as a vector that has magnitude (distance) and direction (direction). The relevance of a document to a query is based on the similarity between the document vector and the query vector. The use of the Vector Space Model in searching for information or documents prioritizes indexing, where if the information sought is not found, the Vector Space Model acts as a sorter that is similar to the information sought. Based on testing on method used, it shows that the accuracy of the lecture decision support system using the vector space model method at the Adisutjopto Aerospace Technology Institute, Yogyakarta, has a recall value of 1 and a precision value of 0,21. The accuracy value is influenced by the number of test data collection. This system has succeeded in finding a lecture who is accordance with the theme or topic sought so that it can help students who will take their final project.} }
