The anti-icing system is powered by 2 main sources, namely hot air drawn from the high pressure compressor and electric heat. The icing that occurs on the aircraft results in increased drag, reduced lift, increased weight on the aircraft, and reduced thrust. In addition, the ice formed can also cause damage to important components on the plane. In this study, the method used is direct observation to observe and analyze the troubleshooting process on the anti-icing engine. In addition, this study also uses the fault tree analysis method to determine the root cause of the damage to the Boeing 737-800 NG anti-icing engine. The result of the research on the anti-icing engine damage is that the thermal anti-ice component is stuck. So it is necessary to replace these components according to the procedures for AMM Boeing 737-800 NG task 30- 21-11-000-801.
