Destruction of plastic waste by burning (incineration) is less effective and risky because of the pollutants from exhaust emissions (CO2, CO, NOx, and SOx). The purpose of this study is to design a plastic waste processing tool into fuel oil by the distillation method. The method used in this study was experimental using plastic type municipal waste as raw material in the distillation process. Simple distillation equipment used consists of the main components in the form of a reactor as a place for the process of phase change from solid to liquid and from liquid to steam, as well as a condenser that served as a place for condensation process or the process of changing from the vapor to liquid phase. The results of this study indicated that 1 kg of plastic waste produced 830 ml of fuel oil and 800 ml. Both temperature variations used and fuel oil from distillation of plastic waste had an average density value of 673 kg/m 3 , average calor value of 10330.68 cal/g, and average viscosity of 1.65725 mm2 /s.} }
