		abstract={Semantics is the study of meaning in language. Then, scientifically, semantics aims to analyze language, which means a meaning is contained in the language. According to Riemer (2010:3), "Meaning is the essence of language. Meaning, we might say, is the purpose of language; having language without meaning is like having wheels without air." The objective of this study is to find the denotative meaning and affective meaning in Charlie Puth?s album song. 
Data were obtained from Charlie Puth's song lyrics. Data collection was carried out by collecting information related to the research through journals, articles, dictionaries, and books, searching for song lyrics on the Genius website, and collecting the lyrics of the songs. The data were analyzed based on Geoffrey Leech and J.R. Martin & P. R. R. White's theory. 
The result of the research is that there are 39 data about the denotative meaning and affective meaning contained in Charlie Puth's "CHARLIE" album. Then, the researcher also found that the songs in this album contain 4 categories of affective meaning: Inclination, Happiness, Security, and Satisfication.}
