The main specimen for testing urea is serum. The tubes used for urea examination are plain vacutainer tubes and serum separator vacutainer tubes. Objective study: To know urea levels using a plain vacutainer tube and serum separator vacutainer tube with a Chemistry Analyzer. Methods: This study is quantitative research with an analytical observational research design that is a cross-sectional approach. The subjects of this study were 31 students who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Venous blood collected in plain vacutainer tubes and serum separator vacutainer tubes, is processed into serum, and then urea level is measured wuth a chemistry analyser. Statistical test using Paired T-test with 95% confidence level. Results: The average urea level using a plain vacutainer tubes is 14,42 mg/dL. The average urea level using a vacutainer serum separator tube was 14,66 mg/dL . using the Paired t-test, it was obtained p=0,398 (p>0,05), which means that there was a difference in the urea level using a plain vacutainer tube and a vacutainesr serum separator tube with the Chemistry Analyzer. Conclusio : Based on study which already done be found differences in urea levels using plain vacutainer tubes and tubes vacutainer serum separator with Chemistry Analyzer. Suggestion: Subsequent studies used plain vacutainer tubes and serum separator vacutainer tubes for clinical chemistry examinations to assess kidney function in a larger population with age variations.} }
