		abstract={This study aimed to examine the effect of agency cost on financial performance. The population in this study were all manufacturing company that is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2010-2012. The sample set by using purposive sampling method. The study sample was obtained by 52 companies. Data analysis techniques used in this study performed with SPSS version 12.0 as for the techniques used are the analysis of descriptive statistical tests, normality test data, and testing hypotheses using simple regression analysis. The test results showed that the first hypothesis (H1) which  states that agency cost significantly effect on the financial performance, is rejected.}
