This should be a concern for health cadres who are the closest party to people with hypertension. Education provided to cadres can increase the knowledge and attitude of cadres to assist people with hypertension, one method that can be used is education for cadres using booklets. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of education using hypertension control booklets on the knowledge and attitudes of health cadres. Methods: This type of research is quantitative with the Quasi-Experimental Nonequivalent Control Group method. The sampling technique used Total Sampling, a population of 38 respondents. Data collection tools using questionnaires. Data analysis used is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. Results: The results showed that there were differences in pre-test and post-test knowledge variables (p<0.001) and attitudes (p<0.001) in the intervention group. Likewise, in the control group there was a significant difference in knowledge (<0.001) pre test and post test, while in the attitude variable there was no significant difference (p=0.157) pre test and post test. Education with booklets showed significant differences between the intervention and control groups on knowledge (p<0.001) and attitude variables (p<0.001). Suggestion: It is expected that cadres can participate in more training and counseling on hypertension problems and in future studies can provide direct educational skills to achieve better knowledge and attitudes.} }
