		abstract={This research aims to determine the influence of knowledge about the public accounting profession and financial awards on accounting students' interest in pursuing a career as a public accountant in the city of Palembang with a research 
period of 2023 - 2024. The data used is primary data. The population in this study were all undergraduate accounting study program students at universities in the city of Palembang who had taken or were currently taking the accounting examination course I. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method and 103 students were obtained as respondents in this study. Hypothesis testing is carried out using multiple regression analysis. The results of this research show that knowledge about the public accounting profession has a positive effect on accounting students' interest in a career as a public accountant in the city of Palembang and financial awards have a positive effect on accounting students' interest in a career as a public accountant in the city of Palembang.}
