		abstract={This research aims to find out the influence of leadership style and competence on the performance of private high school teachers in the city of Palembang. The data used is primary data. The population in this study is a teacher private high school located in the town of Palembang. The sampling technique used was non probability samplings and 110 samples were obtained. The results of this study show that leadership style has no significant influence on high school teacher performance in Palembang while competence has a significant impact on the performance of private high school teachers in the city of Palembang.}
