		abstract={Palembang city population growth is increasing every year. One of the causes of many immigrants from areas settled and lived in Palembang for a living. Flats also be a solution to improve the quality of the slums. To support the independence and productivity of occupants of the flat then the planning and design of the towers are drafted into the mix. Flats combined with the function of small-scale trade and services that can support the growing economy flat dwellers and create flat dwellers independent and productive. This study aims to plan and design a simple Flats Rent Complex And Centers Small Traders Palembang with the theme Living In The Garden and Tropical Architecture style. In this study includes the analysis of some analysis of actors, activities, space requirements, the amount of space, the space character, matrix analysis and organization of space, siting, zoning end, structure, architecture, network utilities and landscape, as well as the mass composition of the building. Results of analysis are formed as the concept of problem solving and design approaches that have been evaluated for later manifested in the form of two-dimensional and three-dimensional in the design stage.}
