This research aims to determine whether business strategy to moderate the relationship between family ownership and company performance. This research used 66 family companies listed in BEI from 2014 to 2016. Number of samples obtained by purposive sampling method with several criteria. Data analysis technique used are descriptive analysis, normality test, classic assumption test (autocorrelation test, and heteroscedasticity test), hypothesis test (F-statistic test, t-statistic test and R2-statistic test) and moderation regression analysis (MRA) . The results of this research shows that business strategy as a moderating variable can not able to strengthen moderate the relationship between family ownership and company performance (ROA).
