Hypertension requires lifelong treatment to keep blood pressure stable. Blood pressure stability is influenced by adherence to taking antihypertensive drugs and support provided by the family to maintain adherence of the treatment. Objective: To determine the effect of family support and adherence to taking antihypertensive drugs on blood pressure of hypertensive patients in the Public Health Center Sosial. Methods : Used cross sectional approach to 73 respondents by purposive sampling used questionnaire and calibrated digital sphygmomanometer. Results: The results showed majority of respondents had sufficient family support (69.9%), moderate medication adherence (54.8%) and grade I hypertension blood pressure (43.3%). Data analysis showed there was relationship between family support with blood pressure (p: 0.014), medication adherence with blood pressure (p < 0.001) and relationship between family support and medication adherence (p: 0.001). Ordinal logistic regression showed there was no significant effect of family support on blood pressure (?: 10,474; p: 0,285), there was effect of medication adherence on blood pressure (?: 1,242; p: 0,001) and there was effect of family support on medication adherence ( : 1.507; p: 0.001). Simultaneously family support and medication adherence have effect on blood pressure (R2: 21.25%) and there is indirect effect of family support on blood pressure through medication adherence (LLCI: 0.080; ULCI: 0.492) Suggestion: Families can increase support for adherence to taking antihypertensive drugs to stabilize blood pressure in patients hypertension.} }
