Methods: This type of research is pre-experimental. Examination using the sysmex KX-21 hematology analyzer with the impedance method. The research was conducted at the Palembang Health Laboratory Center. The subjects of this study were students of level 2 and 4 Fikes UKMC who were taken using the Total Sampling technique. Data were analyzed using paired T Test Results: Examination of the number of leukocytes using venous blood obtained an average of 7.9 cells/L and examination of the number of leukocytes using capillary blood obtained an average result of 8.5 cells/L. The test results showed a significant difference in the results of the leukocyte count using venous blood and capillary blood with p value = 0.000 (<0.05). Conclusion : Based on this study, it can be concluded that there are differences in the examination of the leukocyte count using venous and capillary blood. Suggestion: Examination for further research is to compare the results of the leukocyte count using capillary blood, arterial blood, and venous blood Key words : Leukocytes, venous blood, capillary blood, anticoagulant K?EDTA} }
