Negative self-concepts such as not being able to accept criticism from others, unable to interact, being excessive. Positive self-concepts such as being able to overcome problems, accept input, can improve themselves. Destination: This study aims to determine the relationship between self-concept and the level of independence of ADL (Activity of daily living) in the elderly Method: This study uses a population analytic survey method 35 respondents sampling technique Total Sampling sample 34 respondents analysis using the Kendall's Tau Test Results: The results of the study obtained that respondents had more negative self-concepts 28 (82.4%) than positive self-concepts 6 (17.6%). More independent 16(47,1%), Moderate dependency 10(29,4%), Mild dependency 4(11,8%), Heavy dependency 3(8.8%), and Total dependency 1(2,9 %).Positive self-concept with self-reliance level 6(37,5%).Negative self-concept with heavy dependence 2(9.5%), Negative self-concept with total dependence 1(3.6%), Negative self- concept with heavy dependence 3(10.7%), Negative self-concept with moderate dependence 10(29.4%), Negative self-concept with mild dependence 4( 14,3%), negative self-concept with Mandiri 10(35,7%). The results of Kendall's Tau test that there is a relationship between self-concept and level of independence (? = - 0,424 ; p < 0,009).
