		abstract={This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the effect of the physical work environment and competency on the performance of elementary school teacher in Palembang City. The data used in this research is primary data. The population in the study were elementary school teacher in Palembang City. The sampling technique used in this study was a purposive sampling technique and a sample of 100 teacher was obtained with a total population of 7,093 teachers. Hypothesis testing is done using multiple regression analysis. The results obtained in this study were that the physical work environment variable had no effect on the performance of school teachers in Palembang City and the competency variable had an effect on the performance of Elementary School teaches in Palembang City
