One of them is the 21st century education system which requires students to have higher order thinking skills. The way to improve students' higher-order thinking skills is by practicing critical thinking. This study aims to investigate the effect of the Guided Inquiry learning model through Flash card games on students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted on students of class VII C and VII D of SMP Negeri 16 Malang. The data collection instrument uses a critical thinking skills rubric by analyzing level categories which include very less (<20), less (21- 40), moderate (41-60), good (61-80), and very good (81-100). Data collection was carried out using pre-test and post-test questions. The test used to analyze critical thinking skills data is One-Way ANCOVA. Guided Inquiry learning through Flash card games is applied to the experimental class while non-Guided Inquiry is applied to the control class. Research result shows an increasethe experimental class is 26.1 while the control class is 23.9. Based on the results of these studies indicate that the increase in the experimental class is higher than the control class. The results of the Ancova One-way test showed that giving the effect of the Guided Inquiry learning model through Flash card games on students' critical thinking skills got significant results with a value of 0.0015 <0.05. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Guided Inquiry learning model through Flash card games on students' critical thinking skills.} }
