		abstract={Language can be simply defined as a means of human interaction, to convey message, facts, ideas, and to exchange information. Also, using Language, people can show their feeling, ideas, and some emotion to others. The purpose of this research is to know the taboo words used by society.

The object of this research is a American body-swapcomedy movie, the title is “The Change up”. In this research the researcher analyzed one main characters name is Mitch planko. The design of this research is qualitative research. There are three important steps in this research,they are observing, findings and analyzing the data. The instrument of this research for more easily to get data, the researcher used documentationsas the research instrument.

The study shows that in the Change up movie especially the main character Mitch planko used many kinds of taboo words. The researcher analyzes the data take in the script in every scene of the movie. From the data analysis, taboo words like “penis, vagina, bitch, etc” were found, as well as the meanings and classification of taboo word based on the kinds. Based on the classification, it can be detected, there are five kinds of taboo words such as bodies and their effluvia (such as sweat, snot, feces, menstrual fluid, etc), the organs (acts of sex, and defecation), diseases, death, and killing (including hunting and fishing), naming, (addressing touching, and viewing persons and sacred beings object and places), food gathering, preparation and consumption all of them is used by Mitch planko in The Change up movie. Therefore, in the last analysis, the researcher explains the meaning of taboo words, and categorized them in to a 5 kinds of taboo words used by Mitch Planko in every scene in The change up movie.}
