Britain has been a member of the European Union since 1973 which has often caused controversy because of its attitude that is contrary to European Union policies. The opposition was carried out because European Union policies were too integrated and detrimental to the British domestic. David Cameron as the Prime Minister of England through the Bloomberg speech in 2013 stated that Britain would hold a Referendum if he was re-elected in the 2015 elections. The 2015 election results showed that David Cameron was re-elected and served as the British Prime Minister for the 2015-2020 period. Based on this, the Brexit Referendum is one of the policy agendas that will be carried out by the UK. The purpose of this research is to find out the reasons that influenced the UK in making the Brexit Referendum policy. This research uses the Theory of Neoclassical Realism by Gideon Rose to explain and analyze the problem. Through this theory, founded reasons that influenced the UK in making the Brexit Referendum policy that the European Union through its policies namely Single Market, Common Immigration, and the Lisbon Treaty, where these policies were too integrated into the UK domestic and the high cost of EU membership fees. This has led to the issues such as Immigration, Sovereignty and Euroskepticism within the UK which are the driving factors for Brexit. In addition, the emergence of pro-EU and pro-Brexit is also an important factor for decision making. So the decision was taken that the implementation of the Brexit Referendum will be scheduled for June 23, 2016.
