		abstract={Sorghum in an important cereal plant in the world shown by the planting area, production and use which in ranked fifth after wheat, rice, corn, and barley. Sorgum plants have at least 30 species, but those that are very commonly cultivated include three species, namely Sorghum helepense (L.) Press., Sorghum propinquum. Characterization and evaluation activities have important meanings and roles that will determine the use value of the germplasm material concerned. The purpose of this study is to obtain informasion on differences character of the quantity and quality of sorghum seeds and panicles. This research was carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Merdeka Pasuruan University, located in Purut Rejo Village, Purworejo District, Pasuruan City.This research will take place from September 2018 until January 2019 for 5 months. This study uses a direct observation method for each individual plant sorghum by analyzing the quantity dan quality of sorhum plant products.The analysis used is BNJ 5% and cluster. The genotype was repeated 3 times with 9 samples of sorghum plants.The parameters used in this study are qualitative and quantitative.
Results from quantitative observations showed the treadments of genotypes have significantly different influence. On the results of qualitative observations obtained panicle density, stalk color, seed shape, seed color, seed texture, husk cover percentage, and the color of the different husks}
