Like is one of the features that will be removed in number because it affects the happiness of its users. Perception of the number of likes can be one of the reasons for happines among instagram users (feeling of satisfaction with the past, comfortable in the present, and optimistic in the future) The purpose of this study is to investigate how much perception of the number of likes in posts contributes to the happiness among active users of Instagram. A total of 180 university students participated in this study selected by quota sampling tehniques based on a active usage of Instagram. The data collection used the scale of perception of the number of likes based on Walgito's three aspects of perception (Cognition, Affection, Conation) and the Authentic Happiness Inventory scale compiled based on Seligman’s theory of happiness. Hypothesis testing used a simple linear regression test showed that the contribution of the perception of the number of likes on a post to the happiness among Iinstagram’s active users is 3% and the direction of the relationship is positive.} }
