Efforts to provided high work performance, one of which is by demanded contract employees to be able to tolerate the problems experienced until the uncertainty of the work agreement. However, contract employees who have a high intolerance of uncertainty will find it difficult to act or make impulsive decisions to negatively affect work performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of intolerance of uncertainty on work performance contact employees. This study used a quantitative inferential approach with a purposive sampling technique. Research subjects were 153 contract employees who had worked for at least 6 months and were working at companies X and Y in Malang Raya. The research instruments used were Individual Work Performance Questionnaire and Intolerance of Uncertainty Scale-12. The result of analyst used linear regression showed that there is a negative effect of intolerance of uncertainty on work performance on contract employees. The higher an employee evaluates an uncertain situation as a contract employee, the lower employee's behavior that relevant to the organization's goals. However, the contribution of intolerance of uncertainty to work performance was only 3,5%.} }
