		abstract={This Research entitled ? An Analysis of Figurative Language Used in Adele?s Album 
25?. Figurative language is part of literature. This research aims to describe the types of 
figurative language used in Adele?s Album 25. Figurative Language is the object of this 
research. The subject of this research are songs in Adele?s album 25. The researcher took 
five songs in Adele?s Album 25. 
 The writer used descriptive qualitative method. While the result of this study found 21 
sentences that use figurative language, divided into 7 types of figurative language namely, 
hyperbole, personification, simile, metaphor, oxymoron, paradox and repetition. The most 
dominantly is hyperbole, and the least are oxymoron and paradox. Furthermore based on 
the findings, it can be concluded that figurative language is one of the most important parts 
of writing song lyrics.}
