This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The research subjects were 6 students of class VII H in SMP 12 Sukabumi Cities in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year, each of which was taken by 2 high-ability students, 2 medium-ability students, and 2 low-ability students. In this study, subjects were selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses observation, tests, interviews and documentation. Observations were made during the learning process for 3 meetings. The questions that were tested before were validated by 3 validators and were tested. The test is given as many as 3 cycles consisting of 3 questions for each cycle. Then the answers to the six subjects were analyzed and interviewed with semi-structured interview techniques. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, a data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validation in this study uses a technique triangulation by comparing the results of observations, tests, and interviews. The results obtained from this research are when the learning process students' mathematical connection ability is raised by connecting quadrilateral material in daily life, connecting two rectangular flat shapes that are combined and connecting rectangular material with other mathematical concepts and connecting it with other fields of study. Students with highly mathematical connection ability are able to reach all three indicators so they tend not to experience difficulties, students with moderate mathematical connection ability tend to only reach two indicators and tend to have difficulty understanding concepts and lack of ability to understand basic material and students with low mathematical connection abilities tend to only achieve 1 indicator and tend to experience difficulties in understanding basic material and lack of motivation to learn.} }
