The synthesis of Sodium Alginate hydrogel and Chitosan hydrogel was also performed to compare the swelling ratio. Synthesis uses a cross link method, because with the cross link method it can produce hydrogels that have a swelling ratio and good hydrogel properties. Function group characterization was performed using FTIR and surface characterization using SEM and Antibacterial testing as one of the application requirements as wound dressing. The results of the swelling ratio of 8698% Sodium alginate hydrogel, Chitosan 678% hydrogel and the optimum Na.Alginat-Chitosan hydrogel at comparison (1: 1) had a swelling ratio of 746%. The FTIR results in sodium alginate hydrogel were obtained at 1624.06 cm-1 as COO- groups and CO groups at 1111.00 cm-1, chitosan hydrogels in 1568.13 cm-1 C = N bonds and in narium alginate-chitosan hydrogels there was sperm for COO-, CO and C = N. In SEM results, small pores are seen. In the antibacterial test results of Na.Alginat-Chitosan hydrogel, a inhibitory zone of 8.02mm was produced which entered into a less sensitive level as antibacterial.} }
