The amount of hydraulic power greatly affects attachment operation, attachment operation greatly affects the productivity of the excavator itself. The boom cylinder is a component of the excavator at the front, this component functions to move the bucket maximally by utilizing hydraulic oil flow, the boom cylinder will experience a decrease in performance there are problems and damage to the inside. The analysis of this final report collects data from various parts of the direct analysis of the boom cylinder failure and the foreman's information understanding and mechanics. This can be the basis for problem analysis, performance disturbances in the boom cylinder components can be caused by several factors, including contamination that occurs in the boom cylinder from inside and outside which occurs due to overheating of the components on the boom cylinder. This factor can affect the performance of the boom, the problem of boom cylinder damage can be reduced by proper maintenance of each component by keeping and adjusting the clean working capacity of the hydraulic oil in the system.} }
