These declines and changes can cause the quality of life of the elderly to decline. Another cause of decreased quality of life in the elderly is self-compassion or self-love. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between self-compassion and the quality of life of the elderly at the Barokah I Elderly Posyandu in Dresi Kulon Village, Kaliori District, Rembang Regency. This research is a quantitative research that uses a descriptive correlative method using a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study were all elderly registered at the Posyandu Lansia Barokah I in Dresi Kulon Village, Kaliori District, Rembang Regency, totaling 86 respondents using the total sampling method. The data was taken through the distribution of the instrument in the form of a questionnaire, namely the translation of the Self-Compassion Scale (SCS) questionnaire and the translation of the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data processing in this study used the chi-square test. The results of the chi-square test showed that the r value was 44,556 with a p value of 0.000 indicating a significant relationship between self-compassion and the quality of life of the elderly at the Barokah I Elderly Posyandu in Dresi Kulon Village, Kaliori District, Rembang Regency with p = 0.000 more smaller than = 0.05 then the test decision is Ho is rejected. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive relationship between self-compassion and the quality of life of the elderly, where the higher the level of self-compassion, the better the quality of life of the elderly.} }
