The installation of circuit breaker is intended to avoid damage to substation equipment which will cause delays in the distribution of electricity to the load (consumers). The purpose of this study was to analyze the work of the circuit breaker when experiencing a short circuit current and to simulate the results of research at the 150 kV Jajar Substation regarding disturbances that occur in the field. This study uses several methods, namely conducting research and data collection at the 150 kV Jajar Substation. The data is then processed and calculated mathematically and then simulated on the ETAP 12.6.0 software to compare the results. After mathematical calculations, the results obtained are the 150 kV side source impedance of 225 ohms, the 20 kV side source impedance of 4 ohms, the positive and negative sequence reactances of j0.22283 pu, the positive and negative sequence impedances of the 150 kV sides of j0.0275 pu and the positive and negative sequence impedance of the 20 kV side is 0.0336+j0.078951 pu. Calculation of short-circuit fault on the 150 kV side obtained results of 13961,4 A and on the 20 kV side of 20178,18 A. Perform calculations on overcurrent relay settings on each side to set the PMT side to trip when a disturbance occurs. The results of the calculation of the standard time setting relay (TMS) on the 20 kV outgoing side of 0.3 and on the incoming 20 kV side of 0.31.} }
