The most utilization of flora used as an alternative medicine, some researchers show that that herbal plants have anti-microbial activity. These herbs include green betel leaves, garlic, castor sap plant and red onion. Staphylococcus aureus is one of the normal flora on human skin and mucous membranes, but it can become pathogenic if it is influenced by predisposing factors. This study intended to see the differences in the inhibition zone test for Staphylococcus aureus in the administration of various concentrations of herbal plant extracts. The research design used a descriptive design with a literature review approach. The result of observation obtains 9 literature that analyzed based on the intervention of the effectiveness antibacterial test by giving various concentrations to Staphylococcus aureus. The results of the literature review were carried out by comparing the inhibition zone test for the four herbal plants. Herbal plants that have the most optimal resistance are onion extract with a concentration of 80% which can inhibit Staphylococcus aureus bacteria by 25.22 mm. Compared with the betel leaf extract with a concentration of 75%, the inhibition zone was 20.3 mm. The administration of castor sap extract with a concentration of 100% resulted in an inhibition zone of 20.75 mm. In garlic extract, the resulting resistance tends to be resistant or not optimal. In giving garlic extract with a concentration of 100%, the resulting inhibition zone is 10.6 mm.} }
