Agregat lokal pada umumnya merupakan batuan alam yang berbentuk rounded dengan abrasi yang rendah, sehingga diperlukan pemilihan jenis campuran untuk mengoptimalkan penggunaannya. Pemanfaatan agregat rounded untuk hot mix perlu ditinjau nilai modulus kekakuannya sehingga dalam perancangan tebal perkerasan menuju metode desain semi-analitis dapat diaplikasikan, selain itu sebagai bahan lapisan perkerasaan perlu diperhatikan sifat daya tahan terhadap pengaruh beban lalulintas, cuaca dan air. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan membuat benda uji untuk variasi penambahan aspal 0,25%, 0,50% dan 1,00% dari KAO hasil perancangan test pemadatan kering pada agregat rounded (HRS-BC) dan benda uji kontrol yang menggunakan agregat pecah dari data sekunder, kemudian pengujian Immersion pada benda uji dengan variasi perendaman 0,5 jam (standar), 24, 48, 96 dan 168 jam dengan suhu 60ºC, serta pengujian Cantabro tanpa rendaman dan rendaman 1 hari. Analisis yang dilakukan yaitu penentuan karakteristik volumetrik, marshall, stiffness mix, dan durabilitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, campuran HRS-BC agregat pecah memberikan stiffness mix (1453,573 Mpa) hampir 2 kali dari campuran HRS-BC agregat rounded (661,842 Mpa). Durabilitas dengan Marshall Immersion pada HRSBC agregat rounded dengan indikator IKS, IDP dan IDK yaitu 88,34%, 23,33% dan 20,52% sedangkan HRS-BC agregat pecah lebih durabel yaitu 97,67%, 22,54% dan 18,37%, akan tetapi penambahan aspal 1,00% untuk HRS-BC agregat rounded menghasilkan nilai durabilitas yang lebih baik berdasarkan indikator IDP dan IDK yaitu 16,71% dan 13,86%. Prosentase kehilangan berat dari pengujian Cantabro Unconditioned dan Conditioned pada campuran HRS-BC agregat rounded sebesar 1,89% dan 2,47% lebih durabel dibandingkan prosentase kehilangan berat campuran HRS-BC agregat crushed yaitu 2,88% dan 3,71%. Prosentase kehilangan berat akibat penambahan aspal pada campuran HRS-BC agregat rounded dari pengujian Cantabro Unconditioned berkurang yaitu 2,06%, 1,67% dan 1,62%. Sedangkan untuk pengujian Cantabro Conditioned, penambahan aspal tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan (Fhitung < Ftabel) terhadap respon kehilangan berat. Indeks stabilitas sisa pasca uji Cantabro untuk HRS-BC agregat rounded lebih baik (meningkat) dari pada HRS-BC agregat pecah dan akan lebih baik lagi dengan penambahan kadar aspal. (ABSTRACT) The usage of local material such as aggregate is necessary to be applied in road pavement construction. Local aggregate generally is rounded natural stone with low abrasion so that it is required to select appropriate mix design to optimize its size. In using rounded aggregate for hot mix, it is necessary to consider the stiffness modulus value thus in designing the thickness of pavement the semi-analytic method can be applied. Besides, as a pavement material it requires a notice on durability of traffic load effect, weather and water. This research was conducted by designing speciment for variation in asphalt addition of 0.25%, 0.50% and 1.00% of the optimum asphalt content from the result of dry compaction test of rounded aggregate (HRS-BC) and controlled specimens using crushed aggregate. Therefore, it was also performed immersion test on specimens with immersion varied of 0.5 hour (standard), 24, 48, 96 and 168 hours at temperature of 600C and the Cantabro test without immersion and soaking of 1 day. Analysis used in this research was determining on the volumetric character, Marshall, stiffness mix and durability. Results from this research shown that the HRS-BC crushed aggregate mix gave stiffness mix of 1,453.573 MPa, which was almost two times of HRS-BC rounded aggregate mix of 661.842 MPa. The durability of Marshall Immersion on HRS-BC rounded aggregate with the retained strength index, the first durability index and the second durability index indicators which were 88.34%, 23.33% and 20.52% while HRS-BC crushed aggregate were more durable, which were 97.67%, 22.54% and 18.37% but at asphalt addition of 1.00% for HRS-BC rounded aggregate resulted better durability based on the first durability index and the second durability index indicators which were 16.71% and 13.68%. Percentage loss of weight from Cantabro Conditioned and Unconditioned on HRS-BC rounded aggregate mix were 1.89% and 2.47%, whilst percentage loss of weight of crushed aggregate mix are 2.88% and 3.71%. Percentage loss of weight caused by asphalt addition on HRS-BC rounded aggregate mix from Cantabro Unconditioned dereased which were 2.06%, 1.67% and 1.62%, meanwhile for Cantabro Conditioned, an asphalt addition did not give a significant effect (Fcalculated < Ftable) on loss weight response. Stability index from the rest of Cantabro post-test for HRS-BC rounded aggregate mix was better (increased) than crushed aggregate and it would be much better with the addition on asphalt content.} }
