ABSTRACT This study aims to explain how is the organization development in the teaching hospital done. These focus includes a few things, namely (1) how management decisions that support the development of the organization to improve performance management in the educational hospital in Malang, Indonesia, (2) to explain the factors affecting the development of the organization in improving the performance of management, (3) to explain the steps undertaken in the development of the organization to improve management performance, and (4) to explain the role of organizational development in improving the management performance in the teaching hospitals. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through several techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation. Data were analyzed with methods of Miles and Huberman analysis that starting from data collection, disaggregation, data display and conclusion. This study found that many management decisions that support the performance improvement in educational hospitals are the decision relating to the planning, implementation and evaluation. The factors that favor the development of the organization to improve performance management in the teaching hospital is divided into two, there are internal factors and external factors, which can be divided into several factors, there are human resources, financial resources, infrastructure, local communities, government support, and community Health insurance. If these factors are met then the organization's performance can be increased. While the steps taken to develop the organization to improve performance management is performed with several ways: needs analysis, outlined the steps of strategic development, provide necessary financial support, implementation and evaluation. The study also found that good leadership, use of technology and communications, laying the proper vision and mission can support the performance of management in the educational hospital ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana pengembangan organisasi di lingkungan rumah sakit pendidikan yang meliputi beberapa hal, yaitu (1) bagaimana keputusan manajemen yang mendukung pengembangan organisasi untuk meningkatkan kinerja manajemen di lingkungan rumah sakit pendidikan di kota Malang Indonesia, (2) menjelaskan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pengembangan organisasi dalam meningkatkan kinerja manajemen, (3) menjelaskan langkah-langkah yang dilakukan dalam pengembangan organisasi untuk meningkatkan kinerja manajemen, dan (4) menjelaskan peran pengembangan organisasi dalam peningkatan kinerja manajemen di lingkaungan rumah sakit pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui beberapa teknik, yaitu wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi.
