ABSTRACT Education holds an important role in improving the quality of human beings, so the quality of the educational system will be able to determine its success in one of them through the formulation, development and evaluation of curriculum. To achieve the objective of school education, it was implemented curriculum development which boils down to the teaching-learning process at the level of the class. The curriculum is an education program which is not teaching programs, i.e., programs that are planned, programed and designed containing a variety of learning materials and experiences learned from the past, present or in the future. The context encourages researchers conducted research on development strategy of Islamic Education curriculum (PAI) in MA Mafatihul Huda. As for the purpose of this research is described; the reasons underlying the curriculum development in MA Mafatihul Huda, PAI curriculum components developed in MA Mafatihul Huda, and explains how an PAI curriculum development insightful Ahlusunnah Waljamaah in MA Mafatihul Huda. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach to the method of case studies. But it illustrates a condition as in the naturalistic principles. As for the data collection procedure that is done is to use the method of observation, interview and documentation. Researchers to analyze data using interactive analysis models, Miles and Hubberman which includes: tabulate data, data presentation, data reduction, verification. As for the result checked their validity through triangulation and the member check. The results showed that PAI curriculum development activities insightful Ahlusunnah Waljamaah for formal education institutions need strategies to develop the curriculum. The strategy is to use the ekletik approach i.e. can choose one of the best among the 4 approaches, namely: (1) oriented humanistic, (2) social reconstruction, (3) technologists, and (4) academic-oriented. While the insight Ahlusunnah Waljamaah has been integrated in the subjects of history of Islamic culture, and the daily activities of the student?s events. ABSTRAK Pendidikan memegang peranan yang penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas manusia, sehingga mutu dan sistem pendidikan akan dapat di tentukan keberhasilannya salah satunya melalui penyusunan, pengembangan dan evaluasi kurikulum. Untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan sekolah, itu dilaksanakan pengembangan kurikulum yang bermuara pada proses belajar-mengajar di tingkat kelas. Kurikulum tersebut merupakan program pendidikan yang bukan program pengajaran, yaitu program yang direncanakan, diprogramkan dan dirancangkan yang berisi berbagai bahan ajar dan pengalaman belajar baik yang berasal dari waktu lalu, sekarang maupun yang akan dating. Konteks tersebut mendorong peneliti mengadakan riset mengenai strategi pengembangan kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di MA Mafatihul Huda. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan; alasan yang mendasari pengembangan kurikulum PAI di MA Mafatihul Huda, komponen kurikulum yang PAI dikembangkan di MA Mafatihul Huda, dan menjelaskan bagaimana pengembangan kurikulum PAI berwawasan Ahlusunnah Waljama?ah di MA Mafatihul Huda.
