ABSTRACT Pop Up Book Learning Media Development is one of the ways in order to help students to understand and comprehend Islamic Culture History lesson. The need of interesting learning media for students that becomes the background of this development research. This pop Up Book Learning Media is made especially for MtsN Kepanjen Grade 7th student. And the main subject that is discussed on this Pop Up Book is Dynasty Umayyah. This subject discussed about the history of Dynasty Umayyah and its Caliph which created with collaborative learning. The aim of this development research is developing and knowing the different of the learning result, before and after using Pop Up Book Learning Media. And the object of this research is student of MTsN Kepanjen Malang especially 7th grade. This research is Research and Development, which refers to procedural development that is descriptive, the one that developed by Borg and Gall. The result of Development Research Pop Up Book Learning Media on Islamic Culture History lesson, subject Dynasty Umayyah 7th Grade was completed the valid criteria with the test result from design expert reached 76%, subject expert reached 97,36%, lesson expert reached 96,42%, and field-test result reached 91,19%. Student?s result, before and after using Pop Up Book Learning Media shows the different result and it becomes better or increased. It can be seen from the pretest mean score which is lower than the post test score 64,28<89,90. Thus it can be said that there is the differences in the student?s score, before and after using pop Up Book Learning media. The result of T test on manual counting with meaning level 0,05 reached tcount > ttabel 5,25 > 1,695 and it means H0 was denied and H1 was approved. Then, there are significant differences between before and after using pop up Book Learning Media that is developed. This is indicated that the product developed has a high validity level, so this Pop Up Book Learning Media can be used in learning process. ABSTRAK Pengembangan media pembelajaran Buku Pop Up merupakan salah satu sarana guna membantu memahamkan siswa dalam pelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. Kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran yang menarik siswa melatarbelakangi penelitian pengembangan ini. Media pembelajaran Buku Pop Up ini di khususkan untuk siswa kelas VII MtsN Kepanjen Malang. Materi Pokok yang dibahas adalah Sejarah Dinasti Umayyah. Materi ini menjelaskan tentang sejarah berdirinya Dinasti Umayyah hingga Khalifah yang berperan pada masa Dinasti Umayyah yang dikemas dengan pembelajaran kolaboratif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan dan mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah penggunaan media pembelajaran Buku Pop Up dengan objek penelitian penelitian siswa kelas VII MtsN Kepanjen Malang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development, yang mengacu pada model pengembangan prosedural yang bersifat deskiptif, yang dikembangan oleh Borg and Gall.
