ABSTRACT Education is an effort to prepare learners so that later able to live in the midst of society, able to develop and improve the quality of life, surrounding communities and even nation. So that, education should not be just a theory in the classroom. Religious culture itself is one of teacher?s way especially Islamic Education Teachers in applying religious values that have been taught in the classroom. This is intended for the learning of religion is not only limited to the theory, but also in all aspects. Be it the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of the students. This research aims to: (1) describe any religious cultures that have been running in Junior High School of NU Pakis Malang (2) to describe what efforts are made by PAI teachers in developing the religious culture that already runs in school, (3) to describe what supporting factors and obstacles in the religious culture development in Junior High School of NU Pakis Malang.The approach in this research is descriptive qualitative approach, and data collection techniques that used are observation, interview, and documentation. In this research, data were analyzed by reducing irrelevant data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. In the data validity using techniques of increasing perseverance as well as triangulation techniques. The research results show that, (1) the religious culture that has been running is dhuhur prayer and dhuha together, sholawat, studying Al-Qur?an by using An-Nasr method, tahlilan, studying kitab Safinatun Najah, reading of hadith after dhuhur prayer, Islamic Day Celebration, culture 5s (greetings, smiles, greeting, respecting, good manners) (2) the efforts of Islamic Education teachers in developing the existing religious culture is to take action on other schools and then apply it in school, involving students in activities that are not only in the school but also on the activities community, point system implementation, and innovation in every culture that has been running. (3) supporting factors in the development of this culture is the majority of the school's support, good relationship between the school with Tamir Al-Mustofa mosque (place of religious culture), the availability of facilities that support religious culture. As well as inhibiting factors in the religious culture development are some who are too pessimistic about the implementation of religious culture, the lack of ready new students to replace the position of his sister class in sholawatan, the lack of ready new learners in following every religious culture required in school ABSTRAK Pendidikan merupakan upaya untuk mempersiapkan peserta didik agar nantinya mampu hidup ditengah-tengah masyarakat, mapu mengembangkan dan meningkatkan kualitas hidupnya, masyarakat disekitarnya bahkan bangsanya.
