ABSTRACT

The construction and development of the characters of learners could not regardless of religious activity that is important to increase in human resources. Although all forms of surveillance efforts do, still occur frequently irregularities committed both learners boys or girl , numerous attempts of the construction of character through a variety of learning activities and in the SOP, During his time in the school is already done, however deviations and violations of learners still often occur. ving good character, and through the activities of the extracurricular-of religion based. The state Monday afternoon boarding school is one of the efforts to develop character education learners who are in state junior high school (JHS) 10 Malang.

The purpose of this research are : first, to describe the planning activities of Monday afternoon boarding school to develop character in JHS 10 Malang. Second, to describe the implementation of the activities of the Monday afternoon boarding school to develop the character of learners in state junior high school (JHS) 10 Malang. Third, to describe the results of the implementation of the activities of the Monday Afternoon boarding school against the development of the character of learners in junior high school (JHS) 10 Malang.

To achieve the objectives above, the type of approach qualitative research is used. Data collecting is done with the interview techniques, observation and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed through three activities : data presentation, data reduction, and  to get conclusion of the research.

The results showed that (1) the process of planning the activities of the Monday afternoon  of the research is a MOu between JHS 10 Malang and PPMT Robi'un Nur, agreed activities with teachers and ustad-ustadzah, (2) the process of implementation of the activities Monday afternoon boarding school involve : reading the asma'ul husna, study of fiqh with the method of demonstration and question and answer (QnA), the reading of the sholawat, the study of morals.variated with story-telling methods. (3) the results of the implementation of the activities of the Monday afternoon boarding school at JHS 10 Malang, qualitatively, leaners is able to show a better attitude in the Association everyday and learner is able improve understanding of religion.

Pembinaan dan pengembangan karakter peserta didik tidak bisa terlepas dengan kegiatan keagamaan yang merupakan upaya penting untuk peningkatan sumber daya manusia. meskipun segala bentuk usaha pengawasan dilakukan namun masih acap kali banyak terjadi penyimpangan yang dilakukan peserta didik, Berbagai upaya pembinaan karakter melalui berbagai mata pelajaran dan SOP dalam kegiatan belajar serta perilaku hidup selama di lingkungan sekolah sudah dilakukan, namun demikian penyimpangan-penyimpangan dan pelanggaran siswa masih kerap terjadi. Disekolah  peserta didik dibina untuk memiliki karakter yang baik, dan melalui kegiatan ektrakurikuler yang berbasis agama. Pondok senin sore adalah salah satu upaya untuk mengembangkan pendidikan karakter yang ada di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri (SMPN) 10 Malang.
