ABSTRACT Islamic education has a crucial role in community life for guiding individuals and evaluating the obedience toward Islamic values by using social barometer to become the core of a productive and prosperous society for a good change. It can happen as long as they make use of their potential and guide its process of growth within the developing society around them. As given in the background of study, the importance of studying the common sense is already explained as well as its role in improving the Islamic values within the young generation to build the right Islamic community that works well with all Islamic values and the teachings contained in Quran and the Prophet?s Sunnah. The research problems are then aroused: what is the role of educational institution in strengthening the common sense of Islamic generation? The researcher employs an inductive analysis research method using field study model, which aims to realize the objectives of the research that must conduct an analysis. The research results indicate some points as follow: 1) the role of educational institution in optimizing Islamic education values to preserve the common sense and its method of strengthening are the needs of the integration of educational institution and the role in preserving the Islamic nature within students. It works by giving educational theory about the concept of nature as examples. To support this, one needs competent teachers who are able to convey the message of Islamic education and embed the sublime values into the students? behavior. Another important role is the fact that it acts as a reminder for parents regarding their role in keeping their children save in order to face the change, disease, and deviated social behavior within society. 2) The method of building the future generation by using Islamic values through common sense contained in the embedment of aqeedah and tauheed into students? behavior, which become the basic and crucial function in Islamic view to realize Islamic education which is based on intellectuals, ideology, and noble purpose. Those things are conducted in schools, home (family), and society. The main purpose of those things are worshipping Allah the Almighty, believing in the oneness of Allah, and being submissive toward all of the commands of Allah; developing the talent and ability of students by using the common sense given by Allah and preventing them from losing their common sense and deviation. 3) The evaluation of the establishment of future generations using Islamic values in preserving the common sense and the method of strengthening it can be seen through activities and c} }
