ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze several types of objectives of sharia law in an-nur chapter, identify and analyze the path taken by sheikh syekh Muhammad Thohir bin Asyur in the purposes of sharia law in an-nur chapter, also to identify and analyze the suitability of interpretation methods of sharia law purposes belongs to syekh Muhammad Thohir bin Asyur in an-nur chapter with some theories of his neighbor objectives of sharia law.

The method used in this research is library descriptive method, while the source of the data from this study are taken from the books of syekh Muhammad Thohir bin Asyur that related to a method of maqhasidi and the way of how he in interpreting (interpreting) through the works of his, including the book of Maqashid Syariah Islamiyah and At-Tahrir wa Tanwir, also from some other source that has helped researchers to achieve the objectives of this study. While data analysis method used is content analysis method.
