ABSTRACT

The aims of this study are (1) to produce the balaghoh?s text book which develoved based on contextual teaching and learning for students of arabic education study programme. (2) to veryfy the develoved text book?s effectiveness. Because it?s become the main reason of this developing this text book for many years , balaghoh?s learning in this arabic study programme was used jawahirul balaghoh and al balaghoh al wadhihah, but both of them can not increase student?s achievment only and but also the interest study of student.

The reaserch method of this study is reaserch and development by Borg and Gall?s model and the steps are research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form product, field testing and product revision and final product revision.

The result of this reasearch are (1) the spesification of developed book are contained by (a) The presentation matter of this text book has arranged systematically from easy matter to difficult matter (b) Examples of balaghoh?s sentences has relation with student?s daily activites (c) Instructional exercisies can give more chance for students to think and build the concept by their selves. (d) Interactive presentation methods which can make the students learn actively. (2) Learning balaghah by using this developed textbook can increase the result of balaghah?s learning and the interest of students effectively, it is not only shown by different degrees both students at control?s class and experiment?s class which counted by SPSS 22,  but also by quisionare?s result which descripted that this text book is easy to understand and interest the students to read and learn it happily.

These result  of this research shows that the students have more interest in balaghoh than before so they can understand the matters easily by using textbook which develoved by contextual teaching and learning.

ABSTRAK

Tujuan penelitian ini,  pertama; untuk menghasilkan buku ajar mata kuliah Balaghoh yang dikembangkan berdasarkan Contextual teaching and learning (CTL). Kedua; untuk menguji efektifitas buku ajar yang dihasilkan.  Hal ini dikarenakan pembelajaran yang selama ini berlangsung dengan menggunakan kitab jawahirul balaghoh dan al-Balaghoh al-Wadhihah tidak dapat meningkatkan prestasi dan minat belajar mahasiswa. 

Metode penelitian yang digunakan peneliti adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development) model Borg and Gall yaitu;  dengan langkah-langkah sebagai berikut; kajian pendahuluan, perencanaan, pengembangan produk, uji lapangan , perbaikan produk dan produk akhir siap guna.

Hasil penelitian, pertama; buku ajar materi balaghoh yang telah dihasilkan memiliki spesifikasi sebagai berikut; A.Bahan ajar tersusun sistematis yaitu dari mudah ke sulit. B. Contoh-contoh kalimat balaghoh (asalib balaghiyyah) berkaitan erat dengan fenomena kehidupan sehari-hari mahasiswa. C. Pola latihan yang diterapkan memberikan kesempatan mahasiswa berpikir untuk membangun konsep dan pengetahuan. D. Penyajian bahan ajar dalam buku memastikan mahasiswa senantiasa dalam suasana aktif dari awal hingga akhir perkuliahan.           Kedua; pembelajaran mata kuliah balaghoh dengan menggunakan buku ajar yang dikembangkan berdasarkan CTL sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar dan minat mahasiswa. Hal ini diketahui dari perbedaan nilai antara mahasiswa kelompok kontrol dan mahasiswa kelompok eksperimen melalui uji statistik dengan menggunakan SPSS 22. Demikian juga dari hasil angket}
