ABSTRACT The rapid growth of Information technology is an invention that allows people to do all the activities by easy and effective. In the scope of education, information technology is very helpful in educational activities. Some educational tool such as internet, e-books, and laptops are depend on the existence of information technology. Meanwhile, Implementation of Islamic Religious Education is much criticized for the monotony that occurs in the learning process. Yet, also the teacher, as a mediator in the classroom, has been using information technology that has been qualified. The existence of this information technology will not be realized without the intervention of teachers and students. As we know, in the education process, there must be communication between teachers and students. This research has some purposes: 1. To describe what kind of technology has been used by teachers in SMP Negeri 1 Leces. 2. To describe the use of information technology by teachers of Islamic Education. 3. To analyze the teachers? skill level of Islamic Education in using information technology. To achieve the above objectives, a qualitative research approach with descriptive research is used. Data collection methods were obtained using interview, observation, and documentation. Then, the data were analyzed by checking validity of triangulation data. The results showed that, (1) Information technology used by teachers in SMP Negeri 1 Leces is power point, whatsapp, facebook and email. (2) the teacher uses information technology in accordance with the theme and learning objectives, then choose the media that will be used in the lesson. (3) the skills possessed by teachers of Islamic Education in SMP Negeri 1 Leces are very qualified; by using social media to spread the task or use email as a tool of sending student tasks. ABSTRAK Teknologi informasi yang berkembang dengan pesat, merupakan hal yang memudahkan manusia untuk melakukan segala kegiatan. Dalam bidang pendidikan, teknologi informasi sangat membantu dalam kegiatan pendidikan. Adanya internet, e-book, dan laptop merupakan alat-alat pendidikan yang tergantung dengan adanya teknologi informasi. Pelaksanaan Pendidikan Agama Islam banyak dikritik karena kemonotonan yang terjadi dalam proses pembelajaran. Namun juga tak jarang guru sebagai mediator di dalam kelas telah menggunakan teknologi informasi yang sudah mumpuni. Adanya teknologi informasi ini, tidak akan terwujud dengan maksimal tanpa adanya campur tangan guru dan siswa. Sebagaimana yang kita ketahui bahwa dalam proses pendidikan harus ada komunikasi antara guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujun: 1. Mendeskripsikan produk teknologi apa saja yang telah digunakan oleh guru-guru di SMP Negeri 1 Leces. 2. Mendeskripsikan tata cara penggunaan produk teknologi informasi oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Islam. 3. Menganalisis tingkat keterampilan guru Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam penggunaan teknologi informasi. Untuk mencapai tujuan di atas, digunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data diperoleh menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode pengecekan keabsahan data triangulasi.
