ABSTRACT This research aims to develop teaching materials on al-Ma'?niy using local speech in the form of textbooks which is applied to students of PBA UIN Walisongo Semarang. The destination is revealed how the product development of teaching materials, gauging the validity level, and measure the level of influence of its used. This study uses research and development by model of Borg and Gall, then adapt and modify with the writter. And some techniques which are used in this study are: observations, questionnaires, interviews and tests. While in data analysis, the researcher uses two analysis techniques that are acquired by the result of experts? review and product experiment. The result of experts? review is analyzed using descriptive qualitative and statistic descriptive. While the result of experiment is elaborated using ?t? test. The substantive findings of this study are: (1) The product compiled in Indonesian into eight chapters, each chapter consists of sub-chapter; concept map, learning competencies, introductions, explanations, summaries, exercises and bibliography, so it has own characteristics. 2) The validity of this product had score: a) teaching material design reached to 88,75% (very good), b) teaching material reached to 84,16% (very good), c) teaching method of Arabic language aspect reached to 86,6% (very good). 3) The pre-test result 48% (weak) and the post-test result 71% (excellent) show that there are significant improvement between the contrary 2,09<10,39>2,84. These results show that this teaching material is effective and positive for students. While the students questionnaire obtained 81,10 % (excellent) and for lecturers obtained 81,10% (very good). The formal finding of this study is, that the teaching materials on al-Ma'?niy sciences through pairing with its some examples of local language can improve students' ability to understand the science of al-Ma'?niy effectively. ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan bahan ajar ilmu al-Ma'?niy dengan kalam lokal dalam bentuk buku ajar yang kemudian diterapkan pada mahasiswa jurusan PBA UIN Walisongo Semarang. Tujuan tersebut, mengungkap bagaimana produk pengembangan bahan ajar ini, mengukur tingkat validitasnya, dan mengukur tingkat pengaruh penggunaanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model pengembangan dari Borg dan Gall yang diadaptasi dan dimodifikasi oleh peneliti. Dan cara memperoleh data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: observasi, kuesioner, wawancara, dan tes. Sedangkan analisis data menggunakan dua teknik analisis yang diperoleh dari hasil review para ahli dan uji coba produk. Hasil review para ahli dianalisis dengan menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan statistik deskriptif. Sedangkan hasil uji coba dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji "t". Temuan substantif penelitian ini adalah bahwa: (1) Produk bahan ajar ini disusun dalam bahasa Indonesia ke dalam delapan bab, setiap babnya terdiri dari sub-bab; peta konsep, kompetensi pembelajaran, pendahuluan, penjelasan, ringkasan, latihan, dan daftar pustaka, sehingga memiliki karakteristik tersendiri. (2) Validitas bahan ajar ini diukur melalui empat aspek: a) desain bahan ajar mencapai 88,75 % (sangat baik), b) materi ajar mencapai 84,16 % (sangat baik), c) aspek metodologi dan pembelajaan bahasa Arab mencapai 86,6 % (sangat baik). (3) Hasil pre-test mahasiswa 48% (lemah), dan hasil post-test 71% (sangat baik) menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan antara perbedaan pre-test dan post-test yakni 2,09<10,39>2,84.
