ABSTRACT The success of students in education is shown by the achievement of both academic and non-academic achievement. But today, many non-academic achievement students who have difficulty arranging the schedule with the schedule of training, often do not follow the learning activities at school, and do homework at school. This is due to the high intensity of exercise. Given the importance of Counseling Guidance Teachers role in improving motivation to learn, so, the researcher is interested to conduct research on the role of Counseling Guidance Teachers in Improving the Non-Academic Achievement Student Studying Motivation in the Department of Studies Social Sciences at State Senior High School 6 of Malang. The purpose of this research is (1)to identify the role of Counseling Guidance teachers in Improving the Non-Academic Achievement Student Studying Motivation in the Department of Studies Social Sciences at State Senior High School 6 of Malang. (2)to describe the results achieved by Counseling Guidance teachers in Improving the Non-Academic Achievement Student Studying Motivation in the Department of Studies Social Sciences at State Senior High School 6 of Malang. The method used in this research is qualitative method with descriptive approach. While the data collection techniques in this study using observation, interviews, and documentation. Then, that are analyzed qualitatively with analytical techniques according to Miles and Huberman. For interview data are obtained from a number of informants, among others, 2 Counseling Guidance teachers and some in Non-Academic Achievement Student the Department of Studies Social Sciences at State Senior High School 6 of Malang. From the results of research indicated that the role of Counseling Guidance teachers in Improving the Non-Academic Achievement Student Studying Motivation in the Department of Studies Social Sciences at State Senior High School 6 of Malang as a mentor was to direct students better and motivator was to give spirit and a real example for students become more diligent to study. Provide an encouragement to change the negative student's lifestyle to be positive and guided students according to their future goals so that students were better prepared to face the risks that would occur and could overcome them. ABSTRAK Keberhasilan siswa dalam pendidikan ditunjukkan dengan prestasinya baik prestasi akademik maupun non akademik. Prestasi tersebut tidak lepas dari peran guru BK yang membimbing serta memberikan motivasi kepada siswa. Namun pada dewasa ini banyak siswa berprestasi non akademik yang kesulitan mengatur jadwal belajar dengan jadwal latihan, sering tidak mengikuti kegiatan belajar di sekolah, dan mengerjakan tugas rumah di sekolah. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya intensitas latihan yang tinggi. Mengingat pentingnya peran guru BK dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar maka peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian tentang peran guru BK dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa berprestasi non akademik pada jurusan IPS studi di SMA Negeri 6 Malang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah (1)mengidentifikasi peran guru Bimbingan san Konseling (BK) dalam memotivasi belajar siswa berprestasi non akademik pada jurusan IPS di SMA Negeri 6 Malang.
