ABSTRACT

This study will analyze the principal's supervisory learning strategy to improve the quality of learning in the Bra elementary school. Some critical questions can be raised to illustrate the above problems. Will the implementation of principals' strategy and supervision improve the performance and quality of teachers in the learning process? How is the plan and implementation of the principal's strategy of improving the performance and quality of teachers in the teaching and learning process? How to evaluate the principal's supervisory strategy in improving the quality of learning?

The purpose of the study, aims to explore the principal supervision strategy of Brawijaya Elementary School Smart School Malang in improving the performance and quality of teachers during the process of teaching and learning in the classroom. In other words, this research seeks to gain an understanding of the process of formulating, implementing and evaluating the implementation of the principal's supervisory strategy in improving teacher performance and quality during the teaching and learning process in the classroom. To answer some questions in the focus of research, and to achieve a goal has been formulated, so researchers use some research methods and techniques. This approach and research use case study approach, and the type of qualitative research. The case study approach is used on the basis of the researcher not only to dig data from the interviews and observations but also to do an overview of certain expressive features of Principal Supervisory Strategy of Brawijaya Smart School School of Malang.

Based on the results of research, the researcher found some findings about principal supervision strategy in improving the quality of learning as follows: 1) Principal Principal Strategy Plan sd bss in improving the quality of learning. Among them are drawing up the standard targets of facilities and infrastructure, drafting standardized content, standard process objectives, assessment plan standards, graduate competency standard goals, formulating management standards, formulating educator standards and education personnel, developing standardized financing plans. 2) The approach of principal supervision strategy sd bss malang in improving the quality of learning, including using artistic approach, social fulfillment strategy, applying leadership management, using directive approach and non-directive approach, collaborative approach, and Service Quality Performance Implementation (Quality of Service) . 3) Evaluation of school strategy in improving the quality of learning, among others, cultivate interest, awareness raising, explain the final destination, inform the results.
