ABSTRACT

Children are entrusted for parents and they are the next generations for not only the nation, but also for their parents. They will be helper for their parents in the hereafter if they are educated in Islam. The children?s first education is family environment and the main educator is mother. In this case, Islam gives several signs in Al-Qur?an to mother in order to apply her special attention to her children. It starts from the pregnancy until the children grow to be adult.  This phase is a chance for the parents to create the children?s character according to Islam. It is an easy way to educate the children through family, while, it has significant influence to form children?s personality. Children?s physical and spiritual development begin throughout the family. In Islam?s point of view, family education determines children?s future.  

This study aimed to answer the following questions 1) how do the parents? responsibilities on their children based on Q.S Al-Ahqaf (46) : 15-18? 2) How do the parents? role as an educator of religious values based on Q.S Al-Ahqaf (46) : 15-18? 

Those research problems would be explained by using qualitative approach. It used library research to gain descriptive data in the form of written words. The data sources in this study were Al ? Qur?an, Tafsir Jalalain, Tafsir Ibnu Katsir and Tafsir Al-Misbah However, there was also a secondary data from some books related to mother?s role in educating children. The data collection was by conducting a research on the documents through primary and secondary data. Furthermore, the writer used content analysis to analyze the data. 

The research showed that, the parents? responsibilities on their children based on Q.S. Al-Ahqaf (46) : 15-18 can be divided into some aspects 1) since in the conception until the baby born 2) since the baby born until he is two years old 3) he is two years old until he becomes an adult or on the married age  4) on the married age until he is forty years old. Moreover, the parents? role as an religious values educator for children as in Q.S. Al-Ahqaf (46) : 15-18 are 1) Teaching tauhid 2) Teaching akhlakhul karimah 3) Teaching how to obey the parents

ABSTRAK

Al-ummu madrasatul ula (ibu adalah sekolah pertama) merupakan sebuah ungkapan yang tepat untuk menerangkan pentingnya peran ibu dalam mendidik anaknya. Dimulai sejak seorang anak berada dalam kandungan hingga anak tumbuh dewasa. Dari keluargalah pertumbuhan jasmani dan rohani anak dimulai. Islam memandang pendidikan dalam keluarga ini merupakan penentu masa depan anak.

Rumusan masalah dari penelitian ini adalah 1) bagaimana tanggung Jawab Ibu terhadap Anak dalam Q.S. Al-Ahqaf (46): 15-18. 2) bagaimana peran Ibu sebagai sosok pendidik nilai-nilai Agama Islam bagi Anak dalam Q.S. Al-Ahqaf (46): 15-18 

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah 1) untuk mengetahui tanggung Jawab Ibu terhadap anak dalam Q.S. Al-Ahqaf (46): 15-18. 2) untuk mengetahui peran Ibu sebagai sosok pendidik nilai-nilai Agama Islam bagi Anak dalam Q.S. Al-Ahqaf (46): 15-18 

Permasalahan di atas dibahas dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis Library Research sebagai prosedur yang menghasilkan data deskriptif yang berupa kata-kata tertulis. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Al-Qur?an, Tafsir Jalalain, Tafsir Ibnu Katsir dan Tafsir Al-Misbah, dan juga data sekunder yakni buku-buku yang berhubungan dengan peran Ibu dalam mendidik Anak. Teknik pengumpulan data yakni dengan telaah dokumen melalui sumber data primer dan sumber data sekunder. Metode analisis data menggunakan analisis isi atau Content Analysis
