ABSTRACT

This research talks about ?Story of the Angel and the Figure of Me in Naib Izrail Novel? through Levi Strauss structural approach. This story tells about the journey of angel Izrail and the figure of Me around life taking. The research itself uses documentation method, which is done by collecting qualitative data and then viewed or analyzed lalu melihat atau menganalisis dokumen-dokumen yang dibuat oleh subjek sendiri atau orang lain. Documentation is one of the ways that can be done by qualitative researcher to gain a  picture from subject?s point of view through written media and other documents which is written by or made by the subject itself. Subsequently, this research also make use of descriptive qualitative method which elaborate the research in breaking down the words and also followed by information which explain about the condition that exist in the analysis. The purpose of this research is to describe about the structure that exist in the story of angel Izrail and the figure of Me in novel ?Naib Izrail? along with the episode partition in each story.

The result that this research has gained is there are eleven episode: episode I is Visiting the Afterlife, episode II is In The Journey, episode III is Izrail?s Love, episode IV is Being Izrail?s Assistant, episode V is The First Life, episode VI is In Sayyidi Zainihim Village, episode VII is Lunch Banquet, episode VIII is Mahmud Afandi al-Fanathi, episode IX is Abu Sa?ad, episode X is In a Porsche Car, episode XI is Underground Prison. From those chapters or story partition formed structure of the story in each episode. The structure that is found by the researcher is about ?The Journey of the Me figure in being Angel Izrail?s Assistant in the process of taking life?.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini membahas tentang ?Kisah Malaikat dan Sosok si Aku dalam Novel Naib Izrail? melalui pendekatan structural Levi Strauss. Kisah ini menceritakan tentang perjalanan malaikat Izrail dan sosok si Aku seputar pencabutan nyawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dokumentasi, yang mana dengan cara pengumpulan data kualitatif lalu melihat atau menganalisis dokumen-dokumen yang dibuat oleh subjek sendiri atau orang lain. dokumentasi merupakan salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan peneliti kualitatif untuk mendapatkan gambaran dari sudut pandang subjek melalui media tertulis dan dokumen lainnya yang ditulis atau dibuat langsung oleh subjek yang bersangkutan. Kemudian penelitian ini juga memanfaatkan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang mana menguraikan penelitian dalam penjabaran kata-kata serta diimbuhi keterangan yang menjelaskan bagaimana keadaan yang ada di dalam analisis tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana struktur yang terdapat dalam kisah malaikat Izrail dan sosok si Aku dalam novel ?Naib Izrail? beserta pembagian episode di setiap kisahnya. 

Hasil yang peneliti dapatkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu terdapat sebelas episode: episode I yaitu Berkunjung ke Akhirat, episode II yaitu Dalam Perjalanan, episode III yaitu Cinta Izrail, episode IV yaitu Menjadi Asisten Izrail, episode V yaitu Nyawa Pertama, episode VI yaitu Di Kampung Sayyidi Zainihim, episode VII yaitu Jamuan Makan Siang, episode VIII yaitu Mahmud Afandi al-Fanathi, episode IX yaitu Abu Sa?ad, episode X yaitu Di Mobil Porsche, episode XI yaitu Penjara Bawah Tanah. Dari pembagian episode-episode tersebut terbentuklah struktur cerita dalam tiap episode. Struktur yang penulis temukan yakni mengenai ?Perjalanan sosok si Aku menjadi asisten Malaikat Izrail dalam proses pencabutan nyawa?.}
