ABSTRACT

The strategy of learning inquiry is the approach of learning which focused to students? activities in the classroom with the form of the steps application of the materials given in the classroom in accordance with the stages inquiry. Inquiry strategy can be a solution to increase motivation to study and study result students? seventh grade on the subjects of a SKI, it is caused by low motivation of students? so the learning climate in the class becomes unsupported. On other side, the researchers found many students which had less study result, this seems to the class of seventh grade C as the trial class that has been the motivation value it at 74 so it can be said that the motivation to study at seventh grade c is less.

This study aims to in order to test the: 1). How do the influence of a strategy of inquiry learning to increase in motivation to study to students on the subjects? of a SKI 2). How do the influence of a strategy of inquiry learning to increase in of study result to students? on the subjects of SKI at-Taraqqie Islamic Junior High School.

This study used a quantitative approach with a kind of experimental research. Used the technique of the data collection in the form of a test are pre-test and post-test, Likert scale, and documentation. The technique analysis which used in this research was analysis test normality and homogeneity at an election population. Used reliability analysis, validity, distinguishing-test, and an index hardship on the data a test and analysis liker Likert scale, and then used reliability and validity on the scale. Used purposive sampling to analysis population and sample in this research that is a students? seventh grade academic year 2017 / 2018 consisting of seventh grade b as a class experimentation and class seventh grade a as a class control

The results of the study with using analysis test ancova obtained, 1 ) there is influence strategy of learning inquiry to improve motivation to study in class experiment and class control, with sig = 0,005 and 2 ) there is the influence strategy of learning inquiry to improve study results class experiment and class control, with sig = 0.014. The results of the study obtained using t-test analysis, 1) the value significance of post-test motivation to study is 0.000. It means increasing the motivation to study in experiment class is better , with sig = 0,005 ) 2 and the value significance of post-test study results is 0.008 It means increasing study results in experiment class is better. The results of the study with using index gained analysis obtained, 1) value index gained motivation to study class experiment is better than class control, within average = 0, 247 and 2 ) value index gained study results class experiment is better than class control, w}
