ABSTRACT

One of the man personality is humanistic. It is influenced by internal motivations comes in to human meta needs that apply naturaly in the real world and also be illustrated in the work of literature.  Based on the understanding of Maslow?s theory of motivation, researcher seeks to uncover kinds of  motivation needs of Muhammad Saw contained in Maulid Al-Barzanjiy (the work of Ja 'far bin Hasan al-Barzanji (d. 1763 M)) and explain how the satisfying.  The goal is realized through a descriptive qualitative approach with  text analysis  about Psycholiterature of Endraswara.

The results of this study indicate that in Maulid Al-Barzanji there are Muhammad Saw?s five needs and how their satisfying perfectly,  namely: physiological needs, safety, social, esteem, and self-actualization. The first needs are satisfied through the fulfillment of the food needs, shelter, and economic. The second through his family?s care also his suckers and protection from Rabbis and Christians. The third through the harmonious family relationship and clan integrity. The fourth through  his position as the descendant of Quraisy ethnic, having the tittle al-Amin,  and as  a CEO at Chadijah Corporation. While self-actualizing needs through his mission as a prophet and apostle, preaching Islam secretly and clearly, isra? and mi?raj, uniting Muslims, and his independence from the wealth. The meaning of that, Muhammad Saw as an ordinary human who has the motivation needs. While his position as a prophet and apostle is not a bestowal from Allah directly, but he still needs the complex process and the long time to reach it. That is can be followed by everyone, so they can complete their motivation needs until reach the upper needs satiation as a caliph and be the most useful one in this world

ABSTRAK

Salah satu kepribadian manusia bersifat humanistik. Keberadaannya dipengaruhi oleh motivasi internal berupa meta kebutuhan manusia yang berlaku secara alami, baik di dunia nyata maupun tergambarkan dalam karya sastra. Berpijak pada teori motivasi Abraham Maslow, peneliti berupaya menguak jenis kebutuhan motivatif Muhammad Saw yang terkandung dalam Maulid Al-Barzanjiy (karya Ja?far bin Hasan al-Barzanjiy (w. 1763 M)) dan memaparkan bagaimana pemuasannya. Tujuan tersebut dinyatakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dan menggunakan analisis teks berbasis Psikologi Sastra milik Endraswara.

Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwasannya dalam Maulid al-Barzanji terdapat pemuasan lima kebutuhan motivatif Muhammad Saw secara sempurna, yaitu: kebutuhan fisiologis, rasa aman, sosial, penghargaan, dan aktualisasi diri. Kebutuhan pertama dipuaskan melalui pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan, papan, dan ekonomi. Kebutuhan kedua melalui asuhan keluarga dan ibu susunya, serta perlindungan dari pendeta Yahudi dan Nasrani. Kebutuhan ketiga melalui hubungan keluarga yang harmonis dan integritas dalam klan. Kebutuhan keempat melalui posisinya sebagai keturunan suku Quraisy, pemerolehan gelar al-Amin, dan sebagai direktur di Chadijah Corporation. Sedangkan kebutuhan kelima melalui pengutusannya sebagai nabi dan rasul, pengembana misi dakwah Islam secara sirr dan jahr, isra? dan mi?raj, mempersaudarakan umat Muslim; dan ketidakterikatannya dengan kekayaan dunia. Dengan demikian, Muhammad Saw selayaknya manusia biasa yang juga memiliki kebutuhan motivatif. Sementara posisinya sebagai nabi dan rasul bukanlah pemberian Allah secara langsung, melainkan beliau tetap membutuhkan proses yang kompleks dan waktu yang cukup untuk meraihnya.
