ABSTRACT The background of this research is today the only character education is considered a duty and responsibility of religious teachers and teachers of civic education course.The actual character education is a duty and responsibility of all teachers, including arabic teacher. Arabic language teachers also play an important role in instilling character education to learners, In addition amid the rise of juvenile delinquency and the potential negative impact of the current globalization that cannot be driven off then the role of character education is very important to keep the morals of students and prevent from irregularities. Islamic Boarding School of Islamic state senior high scholl Surakarta is an example of a school that impose a character education. All teachers are implementing character education on the learners, including teachers of Arabic Language. This study aims to (1)Describe the learning process in Arabic language at Islamic Boarding School of Islamic state senior high scholl Surakarta.(2)As well as contributing factors that can influence in improving the morals of learners. This research is qualitative research and take the object of research at Islamic Boarding School of Islamic state senioe high scholl Surakarta is done by observation, interview and documentation. The subject of this research is in charge of religious programs, teacher of Arabic Language, and students, particularly students of class X and XI. analysis was done using qualitative descriptive method. The results of this study suggest that The results of this study suggest that (1) that the fundamental shaper of Islamic Boarding School of Islamic state senior high scholl Surakartahas formed since the beginning of the stand. (2) The value of the characters that are cultivated, especially when learning Arabic in accordance with scope of character education are: a.intelligence of mind, include: intelligent, creative, innovative, open minded b. physical intelligence: clean, disciplined. c. heart intelligence: faith and righteous, honest, reliable, and responsible. d. intelligence sense: friendly, mutually appreciative, tolerance, self-confidence, nationalists and working together. (3) factors that influence the formation of the character was in terms of (a) lead by example teacher, (b) Spirit of the learners, (c) environment ABSTRAK Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah dewasa ini pendidikan karakter hanya dianggap sebagai tugas dan tanggung jawab guru agama dan guru pendidikan kewarganegaraan saja. Sebenarnya pendidikan karakter merupakan tugas dan tanggung jawab semua guru, termasuk guru bahasa Arab.Selain itu ditengah maraknya kenakalan remaja dan dampak negative arus globalisasi yang tidak dapat dibendung maka peran pendidikan karakter sangatlah penting untuk menjaga akhlak siswa dan mencegah dari penyimpangan. Program Keagamaan MAN 1 Surakarta merupakan contoh sekolah yang menerapkan pendidikan karakter. Hampir semua guru mengimplementasikan pendidikan karakater pada saat mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan proses pembelajaran bahasa arab di program keagamaan MAN 1 Surakarta,Serta factor-faktor yang mempengaruhi dalam membentuk akhlak peserta didik. Pen} }
